I'm Rick Harrigan, the founder and lead facilitator of The Evergreen Soul Center.
Early Years
I was born into a hardworking, blue-collar family in New Jersey, where my earliest sanctuary was a wild, tangled patch of woods called The Dismal Swamp. It was there, stomping amongst the trees and streams and wildlife - in a world far removed from the chaotic trauma of school and home - that I first felt the magic of natureā€™s healing guidance.
Corporate World & Mid-Life Awakening
After earning a B.A. in History from Rutgers University, I spent two decades in Los Angeles working in corporate entertainment ā€” outwardly successful, but inwardly adrift. At 40, on the brink of burnout, I experienced what I now call a mid-life awakening. I left behind the old story and followed a deeper calling to Colorado, where I became a Certified Forest Therapy Guide and Professional Coach.
The Healing Power of Psilocybin
Psilocybin became a powerful teacher in my own healing journey ā€” helping me heal deep traumas, shed false layers, awaken to purpose, and root back into the child-like joy I have always felt among the trees. When Colorado passed Proposition 122, establishing a legal path for psilocybin-assisted therapy, the path before me was crystal clear. I wanted to share the synergistic power of nature and psilocybin with the world.
The Evergreen Soul Center
Today, as a licensed psilocybin facilitator, forest therapy guide, and coach, I steward The Evergreen Soul Center.
The seeds planted in childhood wonder, the splendor of the forest, and natural medicine are now growing into something far bigger than myself. I am honored to walk this path with you, with Nature, with our ancestorsā€¦ together in community.
I am still a work in progress - an evergreen soul that continues to grow new branches and roots every day.
